La Amada – Wedding photo packages

We were excited to finally work at the La Amada for an event, We have done work here before but with the condo’s it looks like a heavenly spot to live. Our client contacted us while they were here in Mexico and asked if we could help with a few last minute changes, Flowers and a new beach. Of course we made some revisions and were happy to help. The hotel had a ton of sea weed so we tried a different beach to no avail but still managed to get great photos. We also made a stop downtown to get some local flowers for the real price and not that the hotel was trying to charge. GREEDY LITTLE BUGGERS THEY ARE SOMETIMES

Our Client wrote this for us after the session “We had the great opportunity to have our honeymoon pictures taken by Photos in Cancun. First off, I would like to say that I did a great deal of research and looked at thousands of pictures before deciding on Photos in Cancun. I had them bookmarked on my iPad for 6 months prior to contacting them. Just for my wedding so far I’ve had my pictures taken professionally 3 separate occasions (we had a ceremony in Vietnam and then our wedding in the US).

We met both Lorena and Derek, they are great at what they do and really care about the clients. I had a last minute request for a bouquet and change in location because my hotel overcharged for flowers, and had a lot of seaweed on the beach. They came and picked us up and took us to different florists which was so kind of them as many were actually closed because of Mexico independence day. Lorena speaks Spanish and English which is an invaluable asset to any business, she and Derek (he’s Canadian, speaks Spanish as well) helped to negotiate a fair price for my bouquet. They florists were quite difficult to deal with. I would’ve paid $70 at my hotel, or $60 at the florist without their help, instead I paid just $15 then Lorena rearranged and wrapped the flowers. That speaks volumes of their commitment to their clients, they had already gone above and beyond for us before the shoot even took place. Also, if we had to meet them at a different location it would’ve cost us over $70 from La Amada Hotel where we stayed during our honeymoon to the beach where we took our pictures.

I would also like to point out how much they put us at ease during the session. They captured great angles and the pictures turned out beautiful in their unedited version. I loved the fact that we could have our pictures that same day and honestly they really don’t need editing at all.

I urge everyone looking at photographers in Cancun or in the Yucatan Peninsula to get in contact with Derek and Lorena. They are not limited to the Cancun area, they have their own car and will accomodate 🙂
They were the highlight of our honeymoon trip and my husband hates getting pictures taken. Their prices are incomparable for the quality of work they provide.

I can’t wait to go back to Cancun and have them take pictures of us in the Cenotes, their work is displayed on their site and are all wonderful. Thank you soo much Derek and Lorena for all of your help, advice for travelling in Mexico (ex how to avoid being price gouged), and capturing us soo beautifully. The pictures will be proudly displayed in our home and treasured for a lifetime.
